I saw this over at NoHomers.net. I just have to say: it's about effing time. I'm not a huge fan of Family Guy, but I've always felt sorry for Meg. Her family, her friends, and especially the writers treat her like crap, all for the sake of a (bad) joke. She needs a turnabout like this.

The picture itself is great; Meg looks awesome and the colors and designs you used in the background match very well without overpowering the character. This would make for an awesome desktop.

I am a big fan of that idea. Poor Meg I always felt sorry for her but in your universe she gets a chance at happiness.

Also I love the art itself. I can't really think of anything to say that Officer 1BDI didn't.

You're right, I'm not against sitcoms having running gags, but even when the whole Meg bashing thing was first introduced, it wasn't that good, and it just got worse as the series went on. It really limits Meg's character.

However, I guess I can't fault the show for lacking character depth and growth. I mean, it's just Family Guy after all. Haha, I have to took elsewhere if I want all that good stuff, like a plotline that lasts an entire episode.

Not that, I'm knocking Family Guy, it's great show for what it is.

More than the direct quotations of TV and movie scenes and the jokes that are stretched out to forever, I hate, hate, hate the way Meg is treated. Even if the crap they put her through was actually funny, it wouldn't make any difference.

That said, this is one of the best 'hot Meg' pics I've seen.

I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man - especially when I'm talking.

Yea I wish the show was more story driven like Futurama, but if they changed it now it would be a slap in the face to the fans that have come to expect and accept the way Family Guy is structured. Oh well.

Anyway, I've seen some of the other Meg pics and thought I'd try my hand at it, glad you liked my rendition.

I didn't see the point in treating her so badly. They were never that mean to her in the beginning.They would take a stab at her every now and then but now it's just..ugh. What made them start treating her so badly all of a sudden? I heard she was a play on all of the annoying sitcom daughters which is why they treat her so badly. However, they went all out to make fun of her. Trying too hard = not funny. I don't expect development
and continuty from Family Guy, so if they would just treat her like they did when the show started, I'd be happy.

Frankly, it's lame gag that needs to die a grizzly death like the old fashioned piano players gag.

I agree 100%. I hear it all started when the writers found out Meg was the least popular family member, so they just catered to that fact.

I'm thinking if they just gave meg better lines, she wouldn't be so unpopular. It's all about comedy with the viewers.
